Children ask this question ad infinitum and it can be annoying, but why? Because we hit a point where we do not know the answer and it is disempowering?

Never stop asking why. The minute you do you are accepting that there is no reason for something, or that you are incapable of understanding it. Either way, not pursuing the question means forfeiting your ability to now, or ever consciously impact that, or any similar situations.

Do not forfeit your autonomy. Without it you are a beneficiary, a victim, which is neither fulfilling to be, nor pleasant to be around.
